State Treasurer Returns Record Amount of Unclaimed Property in FY 2025

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office returned a record $303 million in unclaimed property to nearly 312,000 residents, businesses and organizations during fiscal year 2025, according to Treasurer Michael Frerichs. The total, distributed through the I-Cash program, surpassed last year’s amount and marks the highest annual return in the program’s history.
