ROCHELLE – A golf outing to benefit Special Olympics Illinois will be next Thursday at Fairways Golf Course in Rochelle. The event helps fund free, year-round sports programs for more than 1,700 local athletes with intellectual disabilities. Registration opens at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon.
Katie Risley, Director of Development for Region A of Special Olympics, Illinois said it will be great to be back in the community.
“We’re really excited to be out for another great day and we have some swag bags for our golfers,” she said. “We’re going to have a boxed lunch out on the course, so we’re really excited to be back and have this fun fundraiser again.”
