Scheffler McIlroy Face Cut Line During Second Round of Players Championship

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The second round of the Players Championship on Friday featured several top golfers fighting to make the cut at TPC Sawgrass, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Justin Thomas also remained in the field while trying to position himself for a weekend comeback. Other notable groups included Sahith Theegala, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth in a morning tee time, while Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama joined McIlroy in another featured group during the second round.
