SPRINGFIELD – A Rockford woman is accused of hitting an Illinois State Police squad car on I-55 in Springfield. Authorities say a trooper was stopped on the shoulder of I-55 near East Lake Shore Drive on Tuesday conducting an inspection on a semi when a U-Haul truck pulling a trailer sideswiped the squad car. No injuries were reported. The U-Haul driver, Lynn Pulfrey, was cited for Improper Lane Usage and a Scott’s Law violation.
