ROCKFORD – A Rockford teen faces gun charges in two separate incidents. Authorities say 18-year-old Austin Olmstead was arrested Thursday on gun charges. Officers pulled the teen over Thursday in the 3100 of Searles Avenue. They recognized that the car was believed to have been involved in another incident back on March 29th. During the traffic stop, the officers allegedly found ammunition, cannabis, a laser sight attachment, a loaded assault rifle magazine and an empty pistol drum magazine. Olmstead was arrested and taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
