ROCKFORD – The Rockford Police Department is releasing Fourth of July enforcement numbers. The department made four impaired driving arrests and issued 39 seat belt citations from June 20th through July 7th. In addition, there were 37 citations for speeding, four distracted driving citations, 16 driver’s license citations, and ten criminal arrests. The enforcement was part of a statewide effort to combat impaired driving and encourage seat belt use.
