Rockford Names Finalists for Fire Chief Position

ROCKFORD – The Fire and Police Commission has announced five finalists for chief of the Rockford Fire Department: District Chief Jeffrey Althoff of Rockford Fire Department, Assistant Chief Scott Bavery of Madison Fire Department, Logistics Chief Matthew Cordonnier of Rockford Fire Department, Captain and Fire Prevention Coordinator Timothy Morris of Rockford Fire Department, and Captain Rebecca Tyo of Rockford Fire Department. The candidates hold a range of advanced degrees and professional designations. The public can hear from the finalists during a virtual forum on September 23rd from 5 to 6 p.m. and at an in-person meet and greet on October 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Riverfront Museum Park.
