ROCKFORD — A 25-year-old Rockford man was sentenced to 13 months in federal prison after admitting he bought three firearms in 2023 on behalf of someone prohibited from owning them, federal prosecutors said. Jamarius Holman pleaded guilty to making a false statement to a licensed firearms dealer by claiming he was the actual buyer. He was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge Iain Johnston in Rockford.
