BYRON — A 20 year old Rockford man was injured in a single vehicle crash Thursday night in the 9,000 block of North Tower Road, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash happened around 8 p.m. when the northbound passenger vehicle began to skid and the driver lost control. The vehicle entered the east ditch and struck a tree before becoming airborne and hitting another tree with its roof. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Byron and Oregon EMS and fire personnel. The crash remains under investigation.
