Rochelle Railroad Days Rolls In for Weekend of Family Fun

ROCHELLE – Railroad Days returns to Rochelle today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ken Wise Railroad Park, offering a weekend of trainspotting and family-friendly activities. The event features food from the Rochelle Golden K Club, bounce houses, music, a princess visit, and an American Legion display. Visitors can enjoy historic displays, games, and views of passing trains while relaxing at the park, which includes a gift shop.

Jenny Thompson with the City of Rochelle said it definitely brings in the tourists.

“We have the Golden K that’s going to be out there serving lunch. Just $5 for a hot dog or a brat meal that comes with chips and a drink. We’ll have some different activities for kids, and of course the gift shop will be open Saturday and Sunday to pick up all of those Rochelle-related items that you might like to have,” she said.
