Rochelle Moves Forward with Engineering Agreement for Transload Yard Project

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle has selected Fehr Graham Engineering to provide Phase 3 construction engineering services for the Transload yard and railroad extension project east of Steward Road. The agreement follows a joint funding arrangement with the Illinois Department of Transportation approved on March 10, 2025, which covers about 80% of the engineering costs through federal funds. The remaining costs will be paid by the city through the railroad fund. The agreement is pending final review by the state.
