ROCHELLE – A 28-year-old Rochelle man was arrested on Thursday after an investigation into allegations that he attempted to meet a minor for sex. Rochelle police charged Timothy J. O’Dell with one felony count of Indecent Solicitation of a Child and one felony count of Unlawful Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Authorities say the incident took place at Atwood Park around 9:45 PM, after a reported sting involving a group known as “Predator Poachers.” O’Dell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail. He was denied pretrial release on Friday and will return to court for a hearing on Wednesday.
