ROCHELLE – A 43-year-old Rochelle man was arrested following a traffic stop and pursuit Thursday night in the 3300 block of South Illinois Route 251, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies attempted to stop a van around 9:45 p.m., but the vehicle allegedly fled southbound and later stopped north of Flagg Road in Rochelle. The driver, Montavion D. Ross of Rochelle, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated DUI during a period when driving privileges were revoked for a prior DUI, driving while license revoked, DUI alcohol, fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. He was also cited for illegal transportation or possession of alcohol by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of adult use cannabis outside an approved container, and no registration light. Ross was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he remains in custody.
