Rochelle Kickball Tournament Set For May 9th

ROCHELLE – Teams are urged to complete registration for the 6th annual Kickin’ It For A Cause kickball tournament at VFW Park on May 9 through the Rochelle Park District website as spots remain available. Tricia Herrera said, “You do not have to have your full team roster in order to sign up. So if you have somebody that wants to sponsor a team, your business wants to sponsor a team, get signed up and then fill in all of the players later. Spectators will want to come out and cheer on your favorite team, or perhaps have a second in the beer garden or with the food trucks. All of those things can be done.” She added, “It is a lot more competitive than I ever suspected that this tournament would be. It is the childhood game from the playground with the rubber red ball. But it all turns out well in the end.
