ROCHELLE – Rochelle Community Hospital will hold a blood drive Wednesday from 12 to 6 PM at 900 N. 2nd Street. The drive, organized by the Rock River Valley Blood Center, supports area patients in need. Donors may schedule an appointment at RRVBC.org. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, says summertime puts a real strain on their supply of life-saving blood.
“We have a hard time getting donations with all the kids out of school and people are busy and traveling and going out and about,” she said. “So our demand goes up and our supply goes down.”
