Rochelle Foods Donates $5,000 To Rochelle Area Community Foundation

ROCHELLE  — Rochelle Foods has donated $5,000 to the Rochelle Area Community Foundation, adding to their longtime support of local programs addressing food insecurity. The gift will go into the Rochelle Foods Hunger Challenge Fund, which provides grants to the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry and school food programs. 

Tracy Brown, plant manager said Rochelle Foods loves to help RACF meet its goals.

 ”Hormel Foods is about 20,000 people worldwide,” he said. “So it’s a big organization. 40 plants like ours around the world. This is something that we enjoy doing and we’re here to help the community.”

The facility, part of Hormel Foods, employs more than 800 people and also contributes food donations, including thousands of pounds of hams and bacon, to regional organizations each year. The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that connects donors with local causes to support community nonprofits and create a vibrant, sustainable Rochelle area.
