ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget during its City Council meeting tonight. The budget includes $16.3 million in General Fund revenues, up nearly 10% from FY 2025, and projected expenditures of $16.6 million, creating a $277,473 deficit. Total revenues across all funds are $103.8 million, with expenditures of $120 million. Residents will have an opportunity to comment before the Council considers amendments. Final adoption must occur by December 30 to meet statutory filing deadlines with Ogle and Lee Counties.
