ROCHELLE – Construction on Municipal Lots 8 and 9 in Rochelle will begin today and continue through the end of May as part of a downtown improvement project. The City received more than $1.1 million through Governor Pritzker’s Rebuild Illinois Downtowns and Main Streets program, joining just 50 communities awarded funding. The project includes building new parking areas and updating existing lots, plus utility relocation and the construction of a performance area and public bathrooms.
