ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle has approved the preliminary and final plats of subdivision for 1123 N. 7th Street, creating two commercial lots from portions of the old Hickory Grove property. Lot one, about 0.11 acres, will be transferred to Rochelle Hospitality, LLC as part of a development agreement and will include a 20-foot access easement. Lot two, approximately 1.94 acres that faces Illinois 251, will be marketed for future commercial use. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-0 in favor of the subdivision on August 4.
