ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle has approved the preliminary and final plats of subdivision for 1133 N. 7th Street, allowing Rochelle Hospitality, LLC to reconfigure two commercial lots into one to support construction of an exterior hotel pool. The B-2 zoned property will undergo a land exchange in accordance with a development agreement with the city. An existing garbage corral access easement will be removed, with a new location agreed upon between the hotel, Comfort Inn & Suites, and the condo association on the north side of the building. The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval on August 4.
