ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council approved an ordinance accepting a $286,682 bid from a Pecatonica company on Monday night to build a pocket park at 517 W. 4th Avenue, where a structurally unsafe building was demolished. The project includes a base bid of $260,682 and an additional $26,000 for lighting enhancements from DPI Construction, Inc.. The project will be funded through the Downtown TIF district.
