ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle has approved adjustments to electric customer charges based on a recent cost-of-service study by Utility Financial Solutions LLC. The changes, set to begin in January 2026 and phased in over five years, will lower overall kilowatt-hour rates while slightly increasing customer charges. The annual increase to customer bills is expected to be less than 1%, which is lower than rates at neighboring utilities. The Rochelle City Council voted last week 5-0 in favor of the changes.
