Rochelle Amends Development Agreement For South Main Street Project

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council last month approved a resolution amending a redevelopment agreement with Rochelle Hub LLC for property at 1663 S. Main Street. The original agreement was approved Oct. 28, 2024, and set timelines requiring Phase I to be completed within one year, Phase II within three years and Phase III within five years of the agreement’s effective date. Under the amendment, the developer was granted additional time to complete Phase I, with a new deadline of June 30, 2026, due to weather related constraints in 2025. Phase I includes construction of the hard surface area at the corner of South Main Street and Steward Road, while the timelines for Phases II and III remain unchanged.
