Roberts Armory Museum Opens Saturday for Heritage Festival Visitors

ROCHELLE — The Roberts Armory WWII Museum will open to the public Saturday, August 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Rochelle Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival. Visitors can view World War II vehicles, artillery, and 1945 newspapers showing photos of local residents who served in the war. The Higgins Boat will also be open for viewing, weather permitting. The museum is about three miles from Rochelle off Rt. 251 and Intermodal Drive and is marked by an Army truck sign. Admission is free, with the next opening set for November 9.
