DEKALB COUNTY — The DeKalb County Engineer announced that road construction on Somonauk Road from US Route 30 to Chicago Road will begin Monday, September 15. The project will install a hot mix asphalt surface course and a three-foot paved safety shoulder. Work will be completed under traffic with flaggers in place, and typical work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
