ROCHELLE — The Ritchie Road bridge over Interstate 39 in Ogle County will close Tuesday, Aug. 5, for deck repairs and expansion joint replacement, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. The bridge, located just south of I-88 near Rochelle, is expected to reopen by the end of September, weather permitting. Drivers should expect changed traffic conditions and follow all posted signs and speed limits in the work zone. The project is part of the ongoing Rebuild Illinois program, which has already improved nearly 8,000 miles of highway and more than 800 bridges across the state.
