SPRINGFIELD- Attorney General Kwame Raoul is warning Illinois residents to watch for scams following recent storms, as unlicensed contractors and fake public adjusters may target homeowners with false repair offers. Residents are urged to verify licenses, avoid cash payments, and get written contracts. Suspected fraud can be reported to the Attorney General’s Consumer Fraud Hotline.
