ROCKFORD — RAMP’s River Run featuring a Half Marathon, 5K Run, and 3K Walk/Wheel will take place Saturday, August 16th, starting at the Rockford City Market Pavilion at 202 Market St. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., with races beginning at 7:30 a.m. Proceeds will support RAMP Disability Resources & Services. Participants can register on-site or online at 815riverrun.com, with same-day registration costing more. Volunteers who sign up by July 20th will receive a T-shirt.
Abby Finley, Development Associate with RAMP, said that their focus is independent living.
“We provide services and advocacy to individuals with disabilities. So any age, any disability, we’re here to provide that additional advocacy and support services that someone may need to live an independent life,” she said.
Award ceremonies will follow each event throughout the morning.
