Chicago has lost 5 of their last 7 games and are now 7 1/2 games back in the Central Division behind Milwaukee.
The Brewers beat Pittsburgh 14-0 on Tuesday night for their 11th straight win. They have also won 13 out of their last 14 games.
In the 5 losses for the Cubs, they scored only 6 runs.
Game 2 in the series is Wednesday night in Toronto.
