MT. MORRIS – A blood drive will be held at Pinecrest in Mt. Morris on Monday from 12 to 5 PM. The event, located at 414 S. Wesley Avenue, is organized by the Rock River Valley Blood Center. Donors can help save lives by making an appointment at RRVBC.org. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center says there are many reasons someone could need a life-saving donation.
“So they’re used for cancer patients, new mothers, new babies in the hospital. Anyone who’s been in a trauma where they’ve been in a car accident or some event where they’ve lost a lot of blood. They often need transfusions.”
