Peace Road Bridge Project Begins Monday in DeKalb County

SYCAMORE – Road construction on the Peace Road Bridge Replacement and Road Widening Project in Sycamore will begin on Monday and is expected to last two years. The project covers Peace Road north of IL Route 64 and south of Freed Road, with two-way traffic maintained and occasional flaggers directing vehicles. Work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 45 mph construction zone speed limit. Contractor Sjostrom & Sons Inc. is set to complete the project by October 31, 2026.
