OREGON – The City of Oregon announced the disposal of surplus equipment from recently acquired properties during its February council meeting. Items slated for auction include older chainsaws, steel saws, two hot water heaters, two natural gas furnaces, a top-load washer and dryer, and a parts washer.
Some of the equipment may be used as down payments on new replacements, while the remaining items will be offered through the Wisconsin Surplus public auction site. Residents will have the opportunity to view the items in person before bidding.
The council approved the disposal as part of ongoing efforts to manage city property.
- Chainsaws – older models, some with carburetor issues, mostly replaced.
- Steel saws – surplus from acquired properties.
- Hot water heaters – 2 units.
- Natural gas furnaces – 2 units from Mooring building and South Third Street property.
- Top-load washer and dryer – from acquired properties.
- Parts washer – included in surplus list.
