Oregon City Council Reviews $19.6 Million Appropriations Proposal for 2025-2026

OREGON — The Oregon City Council held a first reading of a proposed $19.6 million appropriations for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, with funding spread across city services and infrastructure projects. The plan includes $4.1 million for water and sewer operations, including $2.6 million for major upgrades. It also sets aside $500,000 for work on the Coliseum and $400,000 for improvements to City Hall. Other spending covers public safety, street repairs, and new equipment. Some adjustments are expected before the final vote at the next meeting, including an increase to Tax Increment Financing expenses to cover ongoing development work. A slightly adjusted 2026 fiscal year budget was also voted on and approved Tuesday.
