Ogle County Zoning Request for Short-Term Rental Property Approved

OREGON — The Ogle County Board approved a Special Use Permit request from Wilan Villegas for a short-term rental in the 4400 block of N. Illinois Route 2. The property, located in the AG-1 Agricultural District on over 5 acres in Rockvale Township, would operate as a Class 1 boarding house. The petition has a detailed review history, including approval by the Regional Planning Commission in June, initial denial by the Zoning Board of Appeals later that month, and further consideration by the APZC in July. After additional testimony in August, the ZBA approved the petition 5-0. The County Board approved the request unanimously.
