Ogle County to Raise Marriage License and Clerk Fees Starting August 1

OREGON — Marriage licenses in Ogle County will cost $60 starting August 1, up from the current $40 rate that has been in place since 2018. The increase, approved by the Ogle County Board following a committee vote and recommendation from the County Clerk, aligns with a cost study and remains below the $75 cap allowed by law. The ordinance also raises fees for certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records, tax redemptions, and assumed business names.

New Fee Schedule:

  • Marriage or Civil Union License: $60 total (includes $5 to the Domestic Violence Fund)
  • Certified Birth/Marriage/Civil Union Record: $26 for the first copy, $6 for each additional (includes $2 to the Vital Records Automation Fund)
  • Certified Death Record: $32 for the first copy (includes $6 in surcharges), $10 for each additional
  • Tax Redemption – Clerk Fee: $110
  • Assumed Business Name Filing: $20
