Ogle County Sheriff’s Office Blotter 9/1 – 9/15
Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 1 at 8:25 p.m., deputies arrested Robert D. VanDyke, 44, of Oregon in the 1000 block of South 2nd Street on Ogle and Lee County warrants. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail.
Traffic and Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 2 at 4:53 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at North Ridge Road and Independence Avenue in Mount Morris Estates. Deputies arrested Devin Thevenot, 30, of Ashton for driving while license suspended and on an Ogle County warrant. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail.
Traffic Arrest
On Sept. 3 at 2:38 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Illinois Route 72. Deputies arrested Clarence M. Feazelle, 33, of DeKalb for driving while license suspended. He was cited for no rear registration light and released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 3 at 6:51 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near South 4th and Madison streets in Oregon. Deputies arrested Melissa S. Horton, 47, of Polo for driving while license suspended. She was released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 3 at 8:13 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 12,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. Deputies arrested William Castillo, 34, of Rockford for driving while license suspended. He was cited for one headlight and no insurance and released with a notice to appear.
DUI Arrest
On Sept. 3 at 8:19 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at Freeport Road and Illinois Route 52. Deputies arrested Zachary Berna, 31, of Polo for DUI after his vehicle struck another from behind. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed and no insurance. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear.
Traffic Arrest
On Sept. 4 at 10:54 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Illinois Routes 2 and 72. Deputies arrested Donner Machado Gonzalez, 39, of Rockford for no valid license, and cited him for speeding and a loud muffler. A passenger, Camilo Machado Gonzalez, 25, of Rockford, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Both were released with notices to appear.

On Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Flagg and Sweeney roads. Deputies arrested Natalia Garza, 31, of Rochelle for driving while license suspended. She was also cited for no insurance and expired registration and released with a notice to appear.
Traffic and Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 5 at 7 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Illinois Route 251 and Lind Road. Deputies arrested Asadkhodja Rakhmatov, 38, of Channahon for driving while license suspended and cited him for speeding and no insurance. He was released with a notice to appear. A passenger, Islom Karimov, 22, of Channahon, was arrested on a Kendall County warrant and taken to the Ogle County Jail.

On Sept. 6 at 7:29 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at South Lowell Park and West Pines roads. Deputies arrested Lawrence M. Gilley, 40, of Rock Falls for driving while license suspended. He was also cited for no taillights and released with a notice to appear.
Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 7 at 4:43 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at West Penn Corner and South Hickory roads. Deputies arrested Anna M. Eichelberger, 22, of Mount Morris on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear/resisting/obstructing a police officer. She was taken to the Ogle County Jail.
Felony DUI and Traffic Arrest
On Sept. 7 at 6:48 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that failed to stop at Illinois Routes 64 and 251. The vehicle continued westbound before stopping on South Skare Road. Deputies arrested Mario Lazaro Rodriguez, 25, of DeKalb for aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing, DUI, and no valid license. He was cited for multiple traffic offenses and taken to the Ogle County Jail, then released with a notice to appear.
Traffic Accident
On Sept. 8 at 4:54 a.m., deputies responded to a crash in the 400 block of 3rd Street in Kings. Deputies determined that a red Toyota sedan left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, Karalyn R. Gross, 34, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for improper lane use and no insurance. She was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released with a notice to appear. Rochelle Fire assisted.
Traffic and Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 8 at 12:24 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Illinois Route 72 and Route 251. Deputies arrested Brett Simpson, 40, of Hillcrest on an Ogle County warrant, and cited him for driving while license suspended and no insurance. A passenger, Elicia Palmer, 34, of Rochelle, was also arrested on an Ogle County warrant. Both were taken to the Ogle County Jail.

On Sept. 8 at 2:29 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Flagg Road and Illinois Route 251. Deputies arrested Alvaro Pacheco-Ramiez, 39, of Juniper, Alabama, for no valid license. He was also cited for disobeying a stop sign and improper lane use and released with a notice to appear.
Labor Day Enforcement
Over Labor Day weekend, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic safety campaign that resulted in seven DUI arrests, 69 speeding citations, 13 arrests for driving while license suspended or revoked, and 23 citations for no insurance. Other citations included no driver’s license, unlawful alcohol transportation, electronic device violations, and cannabis possession. The campaign was part of a statewide effort funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Traffic Arrest
On Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at U.S. Route 52 and Freeport Road. Deputies determined that a vehicle driven by Cheyenne Sigman, 25, of Blanchardville, Wisconsin, failed to yield and struck a vehicle driven by Rae Paulsen, 72, of Lanark. Paulsen was transported to FHN Hospital with minor injuries. Sigman was cited for failing to yield at a stop intersection. Polo Fire/EMS assisted.

On Sept. 12 at 11:47 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 6000 block of North Kilbuck Road. Deputies cited Earl Roshell, 54, of Rockford for no valid driver’s license and no valid registration. He was released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 12 at 2:02 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 12,000 block of East Illinois Route 72. Deputies cited Gary Hunt, 35, of Freeport for driving while license suspended and no insurance. He was released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 13 at 11:39 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Townline and Conger roads. Deputies arrested Cole Bishop, 34, of Mt. Morris for driving while license suspended and cited him for a registration violation. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear.
Traffic Crash
On Sept. 13 at 2:02 p.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 2000 block of West Illinois Route 72. Deputies learned that David W. Grundy, 57, of Beloit, Wisconsin, struck a deer while riding his 2007 Harley Davidson. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to Javon Bea Hospital by Pecatonica EMS.

On Sept. 14 at 12:14 a.m., deputies responded to the 3900 block of East Oak Grove Road in rural Byron for a domestic incident. Deputies arrested Nicholas Liston, 44, of Byron for domestic battery. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail pending a court appearance. Byron police and fire assisted.

On Sept. 14 at 6:01 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Illinois Route 64 and Illinois Route 26. Deputies arrested Dario Arguelles, 45, of DeKalb for no valid driver’s license. He was also cited for no mud flaps and released with a notice to appear.

On Sept. 14 at 9:29 p.m., deputies found a disabled vehicle in the 3000 block of East Illinois Route 64. Deputies cited Michael Emanuel, 65, of Rockford for driving while license suspended. He was released with a notice to appear and transported to a Rockford hospital for medical issues by Oregon EMS.
Warrant Arrest
On Sept. 15 at 2:46 p.m., deputies arrested James C. Vangellow, 30, of Rochelle in the 5400 block of South Harlan Drive on a DeKalb County failure-to-appear warrant. He was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
All subjects are presumed innocent.
