Ogle County Sheriff Reports 93 Citations, 18 Arrests During July 4 Traffic Safety Campaign

OREGON – The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office reported 93 traffic citations and 18 arrests during a Fourth of July safety effort that ran from June 20th to July 7th. Enforcement included four impaired driving arrests involving alcohol or cannabis, 10 arrests for driving with a suspended license, four for driving with a revoked license, 50 speeding citations, 18 for no insurance, five for unlawful transportation of alcohol, and two for seat belt violations. The sheriff’s office partnered with more than 200 law enforcement agencies across Illinois in a statewide effort funded by federal traffic safety grants through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
