OREGON — The Ogle County Board heard an update from the Long Range and Strategic Planning Committee last week and reviewed several facility projects, including courthouse basement painting, roof repairs, and generator and lighting updates. The basement painting project has been approved, though final work may depend on insurance approval. Two roofing bids are under consideration for the old court house, with a pre-bid meeting set for Friday and a bid opening scheduled for September 24. Vinyl-look shingles may be used to maintain historical status. The Board also viewed more renderings of the memorial project, which could soon occupy the south side of the building. Plans were also mentioned to relocate the Veterans Assistance Commission to the current Animal Control office space.
