Ogle County Approves Rezoning for Leaf River Property

LEAF RIVER — The Ogle County Regional Planning Commission approved a zoning map amendment for Tommy Romando’s 5-acre property at 370 W. Lightsville Road, changing it from AG-1 Agricultural to R-1 Rural Residential. The decision, made September 18th by a 6-0 vote, allows the property to be sold for residential development. Commission members noted the site was previously a home site and that the rezoning would not remove productive farmland from use. The Ogle County Board passed the map amendment unanimously earlier this month.
