Officials: Domestic Violence Cases Increase During Holidays, Winter 

SPRINGFIELD –  Domestic violence victim advocates across the state are preparing for an unfortunate symptom of the colder weather.  According to law enforcement officials, incidents of domestic violence increase over the holidays and into the winter months.  With that, shelters across the state are preparing for an increase in activity and are looking for more volunteers.  Anyone looking to help or looking for more information on resources available can contact the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
