HINCKLEY — The NTSB is investigating a deadly plane crash over the weekend in DeKalb County. Authorities say the small aircraft went down Saturday in a field just west of Hinckley Airfield in Hinckley. The pilot, 51-year-old James Beyer of Maple Park, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a three-year-old passenger was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The child was a relative of the pilot.
