NHL Record Set in Blackhawks 5-3 Loss to Washington

The Washington Capitals scored 3 goals in the third period in a 5-3 win Friday night over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Alex Ovechkin scored 2 goals in the game giving him 894 in his career which ties Wayne Gretzky for the NHL record.

The Blackhawks had goals from Tyler Bertuzzi, Frank Nazar, and Philipp Kurashev as they have lost 12 out of their last 13 games.

Chicago is back on the ice Sunday at the United Center against Pittsburgh.
