ROCKFORD – Mercyhealth’s Rockton Avenue hospital building in Rockford could be getting new owners soon. Mercyhealth announced that Pastor Melvin Brown of the Kingdom Authority Church, and his wife Sheila Brown, have signed a purchase agreement and are now closing on the former hospital facility. The health system says more than 500 employees will remain at its physician clinic on the Rockton Avenue campus.
