Nationals Score 5 Runs In The 9th Inning And Beat The Cubs 6-3

The Nationals beat the Cubs 6-3 to earn a road series victory at Wrigley Field. Josh Bell hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run as part of a five-run ninth inning for Washington. Brady House drove in two runs of his own.
Mason Thompson picked up the win out of the bullpen and Jose Ferrer locked down his seventh save of the season. The Nationals have won five of their last six games to improve to 58-and-84.
Carson Kelly hit a pair of solo home runs for Chicago in the setback, while Seiya Suzuki had an RBI of his own. Daniel Palencia blew his third save and got the loss after allowing all five batters he faced to score.
The Cubs have lost three of their last four games to fall to 81-and-62, second place in the NL Central.
Chicago will be in Atlanta Monday night against the Braves.
