CHICAGO – Murders and shootings are up this year in Chicago. Police say as of April 30th, there have been 130 murders this year. That is up eight-percent compared to the same time last year. There also has been a six-percent increase in shooting incidents and a nine-percent rise in the number of shooting victims.
