Mt. Carroll Man Charged After Pursuit Ends Near Rochelle

ROCHELLE — A Mt. Carroll man was charged early Tuesday after authorities said he led deputies on a pursuit through Lee and Ogle counties before being stopped near Rochelle. Deputies said they were alerted around 2:15 a.m. by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office about a fleeing vehicle on Route 38. Ogle County deputies located the black 2013 Kia Soul and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly refused to stop. Rochelle Police deployed stop sticks twice before the vehicle stopped near Lynnville Road and Route 64. Deputies said the driver, 32-year-old Jacob Feiden, was arrested and taken to Rochelle Community Hospital for evaluation before being charged with aggravated fleeing to elude and driving under the influence of drugs. He also received several traffic citations and was later released from the Ogle County Jail on a notice to appear.
