PAW PAW – A Mendota woman was injured Wednesday morning in a single vehicle rollover crash on Chicago Road near East Sleepy Hollow Road. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said the 43-year-old was traveling eastbound around 7:30 a.m. when she reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel. Her SUV struck two mailboxes before leaving the south side of the roadway and rolling into a ditch. She was taken by Paw Paw EMS to OSF Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota with a suspected head injury. No citations were issued.
