ROCHELLE – Rochelle Community Hospital will host a blood drive Tuesday, November 17, from noon to 5 p.m. at 900 N. Second St. The drive, organized with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, will include a friendly competition between clinical and nonclinical hospital staff to see which group can encourage more blood donations. Clinical staff won the challenge at the previous drive.
Maggie Anderson, donor recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said, “Blood donations help hospitals care for patients during emergencies, surgeries and ongoing medical treatment. Encouraging more people to donate can strengthen the blood supply and help ensure patients have access to the blood they need.”
Details about the drive and donation requirements are available at RRVBC.org.
