SPRINGFIELD – Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie on Tuesday condemned recent violence against ICE officials in Illinois and urged an end to what she called dangerous rhetoric fueling confrontations with federal and local law enforcement. Citing protests in Broadview, McCombie warned that escalating tensions pose a growing threat and stressed the need to support public safety and law enforcement at all levels.
“If we remain silent, small sparks will ignite into uncontrollable fires. Now is the time to speak out assertively and restore order before more violence is enabled.”
