Malta Township Library Receives $12,500 Meta Grant for STEM Learning Lab

MALTA – The Malta Township Public Library has received a $12,500 grant from Meta to create a STEM Technology and 3D Learning Lab called Makers in the Making. The funding will purchase an AWE Learning Station, a 3D printer, two laptops, and related supplies and furniture, with staff time for training, programming, promotion, and setup included. The lab will provide children, teens, and early learners with hands-on opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art, and math, including digital design and 3D printing, guided workshops, and open lab hours. The project is designed to expand access to STEM education, bridge the digital divide, and support creative problem-solving and digital literacy for local youth.
